I attended the Inky Fingers Club at The Craft Barn in January with Helen Chilton, we decorated the cover of a journal which will be used for future days, looking forward to the next one!

Wow, I haven't blogged since November!! That's terrible....however I have been busy with life, Christmas, studying etc. I have a short break before resuming studies at the beginning of March...here are a few bits I've made.........

Cards for twins....

My best friends' twins are 19 this week, so I used a couple of my Gelli plate backgrounds to make their cards....both have a metallic shimmer to them but one one is grungier!

Clares Roc Nicholas cat is tissue paper, with gold perfect pearls crown, flower and leaves. The butterflies are metallic and shimmer in the light.

Jack has Heart Throb, printed onto sheet music and standing on a washi tape wall. The diamonds are grunge paste.....

Now I need to think about all the December birthdays.......

Mixed Media Day

Today I attended a mixed media workshop at the Craft Barn, hosted by the lovely Helen Chilton. First workshop I have attended and I loved it!! Here are a few pictures:

Canvas with background stamps...

Added glass paint over the top...

Stamps on shiny paper and coloured with glass paint....

And positioned onto the canvas....

With added grunge paste, gold leaf and black outlines...there were acetate flowers but I didn't think they were needed.

Pleased with the result but may well colour in the faces as the white is quite stark.....

Also my ATC's are finished and will be posted tomorrow :)

Roc's postcard challenge

This month the challenge was to use the same stamp twice, my Roc collection is increasing now and I hadn't used my new ones. I started off making a metallic image using silver, gold and copper Sharpie pens, a metallic stamp pad and a couple of pigs!

Don't like it much tho, I prefer brighter colours, and didn't think anyone would want to receive it! So I made another one, using the lovely cats instead, this time the flowers are coated with glossy accents and the text is embossed, 2 more methods I am trying to improve....

I may add a few more bits to it before the sending date, and flatten it out a bit!

ATC's.....all safely home!

This months' atc's have now all arrived at their destination, the ones I sent to Oregon in US finally landed! Luckily a photograph was posted as I didn't have a record of them.

The picture on the left is the envelope I made for the atc......again L'il Tetewea is made of tissue to make her a bit ghostly but the background is different to the other card I made.

On the same day mine arrived in Oregon, I had a delivery from Florida!! Thank you so much Gerrie, I love them, and the extra Agathas.....the images on the envelope made me smile too!

SDC 169 Black, Purple and Pink

I enjoyed this challenge, sometimes it is easier when you have specific guidelines! The backgroung was one I made a while ago with the Gelli plate and some bubble wrap. The edges were uneven so I added purple ribbon, then there was still some sticky tape showing so I added black spotty ribbon! The sentiment is half of a Dylusions one.....also 3 different washi tapes and of course the Monsters Line up :)
